Wow, it's been a long time since we have blogged. Since November, actually. As you might have guessed we've been super busy here at the bakery; menu revisions, advertising, networking, staff adjustments, wedding consultations, and portfolio building are just some of the things that we've been up to in addition to our daily production.
We've recently had the opportunity to work with some of our fellow, local businesses, donating cupcakes to the Annapolis Visitors Center for a function held in appreciation for the volunteers who work so hard to welcome visitors to Annapolis, and to the Historic Inns of Annapolis Bridal Fair. We also took part in the Tast of the Nation Fundraiser, "The nation's primier culinary event to end childhood hunger in America" (www.shareourstrength.org )
Since we've been so swamped in the kitchen, we haven't been able to keep up with all of our techie/fun stuff. A couple of months ago I started a Facebook fan page and was finally able to sync it up with the Nostalgia Cupcakes Facebook page just this morning. So, if you are on facebook, help us spread the word by becoming a fan. We also have a link to our Flickr photostream from the Facebook page. I have noticed quite a few people snapping shots of their cupcakes before digging in, feel free to upload any pictures you've taken of our products or shop to the Facebook album.
The arrival of Spring, along with milder weather, has also brought us a more steady stream of customers, both inquisitive first-timers and loyal regulars. We've streamlined our staff and made some menu changes (which I will publish ASAP). It was a bit of a bumpy start, but I feel like we are finally finding our groove and are ready for the hustle and bustle of Summer in downtown Annapolis.
