Saying Goodby to the Marshmallow Peepcake

It was a really good run on our new flavor for this month, the Marshmallow Peepcake, and we are so glad that you enjoyed it!

Next week we bring back the popular Monkey Business to finish out the month of April.  See you at the shop!

Getting Ready for Prom Time

Today, we had a young gentlemen come in and ask us to create a special cupcake for him to present to ask for a date to the prom.  How cute is that?

We love special requests here at Nostalgia Cupcakes, and as our customers know, we will do as much as we can to accomodate any them as much as possible, so we were more than thrilled to decorate an extra special cupcake for his request.

So, young sir, if you are out there and you read this, let us know how it went!  We love sucess stories :)

Now we just need our first wedding proposal story!

NEW HOURS

We know that we've been around the bend with our store hours and that has left some of you disappointed to find us closed when you didn't expect it.  We do apologize for that and thank you for your continued patience while we work out what times we can be available to best serve you.  Our new hours are as follows:

Closed Monday
Tuesday - Thursday:  11 - 6
Friday & Saturday:  11 - 8
Sunday:  12 - 5 (ish)

Unfortunately sometimes we do sell out, and if so, we'll close the doors a bit earlier, and sometimes, you'll find us staying open a bit later if we still have cupcakes remaining.  The summer will bring longer Sunday hours, but we will continue to remain closed on Mondays.

Annapolis Visitor's Center Event

As Della had mentioned, we've been busy little sugar freaks!  We were proud to be asked to supply cupcakes to the local Visitors Center Appreciation Event back in March.  We have been getting nothing but positive feedback from the volunteers who sampled our products and come in and tell us about it afterwards.  Thanks for all the love, Annapolis!

Busy bees

Wow, it's been a long time since we have blogged. Since November, actually. As you might have guessed we've been super busy here at the bakery; menu revisions, advertising, networking, staff adjustments, wedding consultations, and portfolio building are just some of the things that we've been up to in addition to our daily production.

We've recently had the opportunity to work with some of our fellow, local businesses, donating cupcakes to the Annapolis Visitors Center for a function held in appreciation for the volunteers who work so hard to welcome visitors to Annapolis, and to the Historic Inns of Annapolis Bridal Fair. We also took part in the Tast of the Nation Fundraiser, "The nation's primier culinary event to end childhood hunger in America" (www.shareourstrength.org )

Since we've been so swamped in the kitchen, we haven't been able to keep up with all of our techie/fun stuff. A couple of months ago I started a Facebook fan page and was finally able to sync it up with the Nostalgia Cupcakes Facebook page just this morning. So, if you are on facebook, help us spread the word by becoming a fan. We also have a link to our Flickr photostream from the Facebook page. I have noticed quite a few people snapping shots of their cupcakes before digging in, feel free to upload any pictures you've taken of our products or shop to the Facebook album.

The arrival of Spring, along with milder weather, has also brought us a more steady stream of customers, both inquisitive first-timers and loyal regulars. We've streamlined our staff  and made some menu changes (which I will publish ASAP). It was a bit of a bumpy start, but I feel like we are finally finding our groove and are ready for the hustle and bustle of Summer in downtown Annapolis.
